Even $500 might be a good investment if it saves thousands in real estate commissions, but we suggest starting with an Internet ad below $30 and using it in combination with print advertisements.
 |
 |
- Create your Internet ad: this requires taking a few good pictures of the property. Picture quality is important so get the help of a friend who loves cameras, or borrow a digital camera and do your best.
You will also need to:
- Find old records and figure out annual tax and utitlity costs.
- Check your deed for total living space, size of property in acres or square feet, and year house was built.
- Estimate or measure the dimensions of the master bedroom, family room, kitchen and other main rooms.
- Find the names of the local Elementary School, Middle School, and High School.
- List the web location of your Internet Ad in your newspaper advertisment, on your yard sign, and most important: on your flyers!
-
Why? Because buyers looking for homes in your neighborhood still look in the local newspaper, ..they still pick up flyers at the local supermarket.
- Potential buyers who read your newspaper ad, or pick up your flyer should be guided to your Internet ad and be enticed by good pictures and detailed description to come and see the real thing.
